Phil
Phil Norris has loved music for as long as he can remember. From an early age, it had a powerful effect on him — a constant companion, a mood-lifter, and a best friend through all kinds of moments in life.
At 25, Phil became a dance teacher and professional DJ, building his life around rhythm, movement, great songs, and the joy of bringing people together through music. Radio was always the dream, though — the thing quietly calling from the horizon.
After nearly two years presenting on another station, Phil decided it was time to set sail on his own course. In 2025, Wight Pirate Radio was born.
An avid fan of blues, country and jazz, Phil loves music with soul, story and feeling. He also likes it loud — usually through headphones, thankfully. For him, Wight Pirate Radio is more than a station. It’s a chance to serve the Island, reach listeners around the world, and share the music that has meant so much to him for so many years.
