Privacy Policy
Wight Pirate Radio ("we") is a community internet radio station based on the Isle of Wight. This policy explains what limited personal data we handle and why. Last updated: 2026.
What we collect
Messages you send us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We don't use these for marketing.
Basic server logs. Like most websites, our servers automatically record standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the service running. These logs are rotated and not used to identify you.
Listening. When you play our stream, anonymous, aggregate listener counts are recorded (how many people are tuned in) — not who you are.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising or ad-tracking, and we don't use third-party tracking cookies. No ads, no algorithms — that applies to your data too.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Technical logs are kept for a short rolling period and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email ahoy@wightpirateradio.com and we'll help.
